Data Hearth accesses
- HomeKit: With permission, Hearth reads and controls the homes, rooms, accessories, and sensor values available through Apple HomeKit. This information is processed on the device and is not transmitted to the developer.
- Apple Music: If you choose to connect Apple Music, Hearth uses MusicKit to display playback information and provide media controls. Apple processes MusicKit authorization and playback according to Apple's policies.
- Photos: If you choose a custom room background, the selected image is stored in Hearth's local app container. Hearth does not upload it to the developer.
- iCloud: If iCloud sync is enabled, Hearth stores app settings in your private iCloud key-value store so those settings can sync between your devices. The developer does not operate or access that storage.
- Purchases: Apple processes Hearth Pro purchases. Hearth uses StoreKit entitlement information to determine whether Pro features are available. The developer does not receive full payment-card details.
Tracking and advertising
Hearth contains no third-party advertising SDK and does not track activity across other companies' apps or websites.
Data retention and deletion
HomeKit and MusicKit access can be changed in Apple system settings. Local Hearth settings and custom backgrounds can be removed using Reset Data in the app or by deleting the app. iCloud-synced settings can be removed by disabling sync and resetting the app's data on your devices.
Children
Hearth is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the App Store listing or an app update when appropriate.
